Aduana stars Striker, Yahaya Mohammed is taking a long term off the field to attend to a shoulder surgery he suffered earlier this season.
The bulky attacker will miss the remainder of the season with 14 more matches to play.
Aduana Stars are 10th on the Ghana Premier league log after 20 matches, with the striker scoring 7 goals.
The 33 year old former Asante Kotoko striker suffered the injury in the Ghana Premier league week 1 game against King Faisal in Techiman.
Expressing the pain in going off the field to treat his injuries, Yahaya Mohammed told Happy fm his injury will offer opportunity to new players in the team
“My absence will also give an opportunity to other players in the team to justify themselves”
“I am going on medical leave to undergo surgery on my shoulder, I picked up the injury earlier on in the season and I wanted to sacrifice and play with it until the end of the season but unfortunately, I have to do the surgery very soon”.
“I had to prolong the surgery because we were not in a good position and also because of the love for my team, I had to sacrifice” he added.
Yahaya Mohammed has featured in 16 Premier league matches, mostly getting treatment on the field during matches.
