Experienced Ghanaian trainer and women football expert Yussif Basigi has earmarked 3 west African countries to book their places at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World cup ahead of the 2018 AWCON openers in Ghana.
The former Black Queens tactician singled out Ghana, Nigeria and Cameroon as the countries to pick the three available world cup slots less than 3 weeks to the tournament openers.
Yussif Basigi, who has enjoyed spells across all the female national teams in Ghana, picked the three West African countries for continental glory despite the rejuvenated nature of the South African ladies.
“This time around there are no minors in football, now you can see every country play well,”
“But personally I think Ghana, Nigeria and Cameroon will be the three to represent Africa at the World Cup in France.
“South Africa could also hang on but I feel the three teams I have mentioned will make it to the World Cup.”, he said on Happy FM.
Yusif Basigi supervised the Black Queens to win bronze in the last edition of the Women’s Cup of Nations.
He is the current head coach of the Black Maidens heading into the FIFA Under 17 World Cup in Uruguaye.
