The Black Queens of Ghana were handed a tough group on Sunday night dubbed the Group of Death with Cameroon and Mali posing huge threat.
Ghana, seeded for Group A as host were drawn with Algeria, Mali and Cameroon as their group opponents.
With an agenda to host and win the tournament, the Black Queens will clash with their 2016 semifinal opponents Cameroon while Mali and Algeria look set to display unknown threats.
Mali has been at the tournament 5 times with Algeria making their 7th appearance while Cameroon are showing up for the 13th time.
With the experience of all the countries in Ghana’s group, many remain skeptical about the side’s chances of winning the tournament.
But Coach Bashiru Hayford believes his charges will be up to the task.
“We are not afraid of any opponent at all because we are already preparing very well,” he said.
“Now that we have seen our opponents, everything is going to be strategic and tactical,” he added.
Ghana will kick off the tournament with a clash with North African side Algeria on November 17.
