Asante Kotoko return to Ghana Premier League action with a clash against Bechem United at their adopted Len Clay Sports Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.
The game between the two sides was called off as result of a heavy downpour that left areas of the pitch in an unplayable condition.
It’s been a difficult few weeks for the Porcupine Warriors and they will be hoping to get the win to appease their disturbed fans.
The league now remains the only route for Kotoko to compete in Africa next season after their shock elimination from the CAF Champions League and Confederations Cup.
With that at the back of their minds, coach Mariano Barreto and his boys must step up to the occasion and deliver a win.
For Bechem United, they will be eyeing another upset after beating Liberty Professionals in the matchweek 18 fixture.
In the league, they are having a great time and come into this clash just a point behind Kotoko in seventh position.
Despite their troubles, Kotoko remain favourites to win this one and they are backed by head-to-head record.
They have won eight of the last 13 competitive meetings since 2011.
The Porcupine Warriors have also fared well away from home. This season they have won all their matches played at the Accra Sports Stadium against Legon Cities FC and Inter Allies.
The outstanding game is scheduled to be played at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi which is Asante Kotoko’s adopted home grounds for the second round of the season.
The game is expected to kick off at 3:00pm.
