Adebayor has been a long transfer target for the Phobians and there was a reported move for the player in this window.

Adebayor joined Premier League side Legon Cities from HB Koge for a short spell for an undisclosed fee.

Kuti in an interview on OTEC FM, said he sabotaged Adebayor’s move to Legon Cities.

“Togbe Afede was sending money to Adebayor in Niger at the back of my agent, convincing him to sign for Hearts of Oak but my agent didn’t allow him to sign because of what they (Hearts) are doing to me” Kuti told OTEC FM

“He (Adebayor) didn’t come to Hearts because of me. I told him that I will be disappointed in him if he signs for Hearts. I convinced him not to come because he would suffer when he comes” He added.

Meanwhile, Danjuma Ademola Kuti is yet to feature for the Phobians after missing out in the 30-man squad presented to the Ghana FA before the commencement of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season due to injury.
