Young Apostles Football Club inflicted the first defeat on  Berekum Arsenal FC in a keenly contested regional derby in match day eight of the national division one league.

A solitary strike from Solomon Adomako stopped the then peerless Berekum Arsenal FC to cap an explosive outing for the Apostles.

After slow start to what many described as game of the week, Young Apostles FC came to the party under the inspiration of Abass Samari and Solomon Adomako to cap a quick turn of fortunes.

The duo tormented Berekum Arsenal FC with class and it was not surprise Solomon Adomako kissed the back of the net with classical strike to end the unbeaten run of their guest.

Adomako’s goal capped a descent spell in the game for the goal poacher whiles the unplayable Abass Samari stole the show with his quick vision from the centre of the pitch.

Abass Samari duly rose to the podium to pick a deserved Man of The match award at the end of a heated contest in the regional derby.

Young Apostles FC moved into the 8th position on the league table whiles Berekum Arsenal FC saw their lead at the top of the of the table reduced to just goal difference.
