Aduana Stars coach Paa Kwesi Fabin has attributed his teams inability to register a home win over Ashgold to his top scorer, Yahaya Mohammed having a difficult afternoon.
The defending league champions were held at home by the miners in a goalless drawn game in what was the coach’s first home game in charge of the side.
The National U-23 trainer in responding to a question of what didn’t go right for his side, he said his team was not at their best because his lead striker had an off day.
“Our main leading striker didn’t click today and that also contributed to our inability to score. Normally when he clicks then the team also click. I think they did everything right. We got the chances all right but the day did not belong to us and getting a draw at home is not as bad as it seem”.
Coach Fabin however applauded the two teams for putting up a good display of football.
“I think generally, it was a good game for both sides. Ashgold came with a game plan to thwart our efforts. I think they succeeded in doing that even though we had the only chances that came into the game and we flopped it but generally it was a good game.”
