Ghana’s Jordan Ayew produced one of AFCON 2019 best performance in a night were Ghana struggled to find their rhythm against a more determined Benin, Side to win the Man of the match accolade.
Jordan Ayew, who was playing his 54th match for Ghana scored one, and assisted his elder brother Andre in a four goal thriller in Ismailia.
Jordan’s goal took his tally to 15 in all matches for the Black Stars after making his debut in 2010
His goal in the game was also his 3rd in the AFCON history after scoring in the 2015 edition against Equatorial Guinea, and DR. Congo in the 2017 edition.
Ayew made his first senior appearance for Ghana on 5 September 2010, in a 3–0 2012 AFCON Qualification match win against Swaziland, at the Somhlolo National Stadium in Lobamba, Swaziland.
