The Black Stars U-20 skipper is optimistic about winning the African Youth Championship in Mauritania to celebrate Ghana’s independence day in a grand style.
Ghana will face debutants Uganda in the final on Saturday, March 6 at the Stade Olympique in Nouakchott as the Satellites seek their fourth AFCON U20 title.
The day set for the final happens to be a big day for Ghana as the country celebrate its independence day.
Hence, Afriyie wants to climax the celebration with the AFCON trophy.
“On Saturday we will not disappoint Ghanaians. We will bring the Cup To Ghana to celebrate Ghana’s birthday which is on 6th March. We thank them and they should continue to support us. By God’s grace, everything will be okay.”
The final will take place at 8 PM local time.
