The Black Meteors of Ghana have been pooled in same group with host nation Egypt as the journey to Tokyo 2020 takes shape.
Ibrahim Tanko’s U23 side eliminated Algeria in a dramatic fashion and have been rewarded with a tough group for the final qualification alongside Cameroon, Mali and Egypt in group A.
Nigeria lead group B that has Ivory Coast, South Africa and Zambia with three slots waiting for the eight contestants ahead of the Egypt showdown.
Kickoff is slated for November 8-22, 2019 in Egypt. The top three teams will represent Africa at the 2020 Olympic Games in the men’s football category.

Egypt, Ghana, Mali and Cameroon
Nigeria, South Africa, Zambia and Ivory Coast.
The Black Meteors have not qualified for the Olympics since 2004 and will be hoping to end their 16 year absence when they arrive in Egypt later in the year.
