The Appeals Committee has ordered Asante Kotoko to pay all monies due their former Player Abass Mohammed after the committee ruled in favour of the player.
Kotoko have lost their appeal against the Player Satus Committee (PSC) ruling which ordered the club to pay GH¢ 41,600 in outstanding enticement fee and eleven months unpaid salary to Abass Mohammed.
Abass, initially dragged the club to the PSC for wrongful termination of his contract.
The PSC found Kotoko guilty and therefore imposed sanctions on the club including settling all monies owed to the player withing 14 days.
However, Asante Kotoko filed an appeal at the Appeals Committee against the DC’s ruling.
Kotoko, unluckily have lost the appeal and will face further sections if they don’t pay the player’s salaries and enticement fees.
“We direct the club, Asante Kotoko SC to pay all the monies due the Player Abass Mohammed within 7 days upon being notified of this decision.”
“The sums due him as salaries for the months of November 2020 to October 2021 GHS21,6000 and the outstanding enticement fee in respect of the last year of the contract is GHS20,00,” part of a ruling on the GFA website has said.
“In the event of the Club’s refusal to comply strictly with our decision, the GFA shall refer the club to the Disciplinary Committee for sanctions to be imposed on the club for the noncompliance with a decision of the Appeals Committee of the Ghana Football Association.”
