Asante Kotoko complete registration of Daniel Nii Adjei for CAF Confederation Cup campaign

Ghana Premier League side Kumasi Asante Kotoko have completed the registration of former TP Mazembe star Daniel Nii Adjei for their CAF Confederation Cup campaign for next season, can reveal.

The registration was completed on Wednesday November 7, after CAF closing extended the date to Thursday November 8.

The Ghanaian giants were handed a huge lifeline to strengthen their list for the CAF Confederation Cup campaign as CAF extends the registration date to November 8.

Kotoko submitted their list to CAF for next season’s CAF Confederation Cup campaign on the deadline date on October 31 without their former skipper Daniel Nii Adjei.

The Porcupine Warriors submitted a 26-man squad to CAF for the competition, hoping to strengthen it when the window is opened again in January.

But with CAF extending the deadline date to November 8, the Porcupine Warriors have been able to register the former TP Mazembe star.

According to reports, Nii Adjei was left out of the Kotoko list due to fitness issues but with the date extended and his recent show of readiness to play, the technical team called for his inclusion into the list.

Nii Adjei was a key part of TP Mazembe, guiding them to win the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup and is expected to employ his experience guide Kotoko in the upcoming campaign.
