Asante Kotoko Defender Imoro Ibrahim Explains Reason Behind His Goal Celebration Against Karela

Imoro Ibrahim has explained his celebration after scoring Asante Kotoko’s first goal against his former side Karela United at the CAM Park.
Imoro scored the opener to beat goalkeeper Richard Abaidoo from 25 yards with a left-footed shot before Kwame Opoku added the second that sealed the Reds’ 2-0 victory at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park to break Karela’s 5-year unbeaten home record on Sunday.
However, the 21-year-old refused to celebrate against his former side but chose to kiss the CAM Park pitch.
After the match that saw Asante Kotoko climb to the top of the Premier League table for the first time this season, Imoro explained the reason behind his celebration.
“ I was here and enjoyed a perfect career, I kissed the pitch to show my appreciation to all Karela family especially my late boss Senator David Brigid” Imoro said as quoted by newsplusgh.com.
Imoro joined Asante Kotoko from Karela United on a four-year deal prior to the start of the 2019/2020 Ghana premier league season.
