Asante Kotoko SC Defender Ismail Abdul Ganiu Names His Toughest Opponent As A Player

 

Asante Kotoko SC defender Ismail Abdul Ganiu has named his strongest opponent defender as a footballer since turning professional.

The former Karela United FC and Wa All Stars Player singled out former Aduana Stars monster, Nicholas Gyan, as his strongest opponent faced as a player.

In an exclusive interview with Wa based Home Radio 99.7 FM, Ganiu recounted how Nicholas Gyan gave him nightmares after their first ever meeting at the Robert Mensah stadium in Cape Coast.

“My strongest opponent as a defender is Nicholas Gyan. He gave a nightmare and a hell of my game. It was too difficult for me”, Ganiu Confessed on the final whistle program.

Ismail Abdul Ganiu rose through the ranks of Wa Anokye Stars before heading to Wa All Stars FC in a rich football path this far.

The hard to crack defender is plying his with Kumasi based side Asante Kotoko after a superb one year resurrection trip to Anyinase with Karela United FC.

Nicholas Gyan starred for Ebusua Dwarfs before heading to Tanzania for pastures anew with Simba SC in Dar ES Salam.
