Asante Kotoko to cut squad size to 28 despite Manhyia’s ban on transfers

Fox Sports in Kumasi has reported that the technical team of Asante Kotoko led by Maxwell Konadu is set to downsize the number of his playing squad to 28 with some nine players set to leave.

Maxwell Konadu had earlier hinted of appealing to Manhyia Palace to lift the ban on the transfer of players to thw club for the next Football season, but in a sharp contrast set to reduce the already available.

According to the report, the following players are likely to be transfer listed to pave way for a manageable squad size.

Youngester Douglas Owusu whose not had his full porential exploited by the Porcupine Warriors will be affected same as former Aduana Stars winger Sam Adams,
Godfred Asiamah who joined from Ashantigoldand , Empem Dacosta, from Karela United are among the list to be transferred.

The rest includes Kingsley Effah, Collins Ameyaw, Ayiku Tetteh, Richard Arthur and Kelvin Andoh.

Emmanuel Agyemang Badu and Augustine Sefa whose contracts habe ended with the may not have their contracts renewed by the club.
