Former Chairman of the Ghana Division one league board, and Accra Representative for Berekum Arsenals Ntow Fianko has advised the newly elected president of the Ghana Football association to appoint either Ashford Tettey Oku or Emmanuel Gyimah as the FA’s General secretary.
Lawyer Ntow Fianko who was deeply involved in the electioneering activities campaigning for George Afriyie said the GFA needs a strong and intelligent Secretary to succeed.
Speaking on a wide range of issues after the elections, Mr Fianko said the GFA Secretariat had issues that affected the previous administration and that must not be repeated by this administration.
“I will prefer to appoint Ashford Tetteh Oku or Emmanuel Gyimah as my General secretary if I were the GFA President, they understand the regulations, and how to control the affairs of the FA” – He told Asempa FM’s Enoch Wallas on the sports Nite show.
The new Ghana FA leadership are expected to announce a new Secretary General to take over the office left by Issac Addo.
Ashford Oku worked as the administrative secretary and General manager respectively for Accra Hearts of Oak for over 20 years, and been part of the GFA’s player status committee.
Emmanuel Gyimah also worked for the FA as secretary general in the early 2000, under his turner the GFA chalked lots of success.
