Ashgold SC celebrated goal machine Shafiu Mumuni is opened to a shock switch to rivals Asante Kotoko SC after admitting it will be difficult to turn down their offer.
The Len Clay based attacker ended 2018 with 19 goals for the Aboakese lads despite the dormant spell suffered by local football in Ghana and has now hinted at crossing town to the Red half.
Noted for his composed finishing inside the 18 yard box, Shafiu remains one of the few trusted goal getters in the Ghana premier league and will get into most starting XIs across the league.
“ Kotoko SC is a big club in the country and it is every player’s wish to play so am ever ready to play for them if things go through”, Mumuni told Ashh FM.
He however promised hell for the Baba Yara based side ahead of their clash on Sunday in the JAK Foundation memorial match.
“We the players are very ready for the game on Sunday and we are going all out to win the trophy”, the Len Clay based striker added.
Asante Kotoko SC were billed to host rivals Accra Hearts of Oak in the JA Kuffuor before opting out due to differences on the negotiation table.
