Speaking to 442gh.com on the title aspirations for AshGold SC, Shafiq Muntari played down their title ambitions with 20 games still to play for in the campaign.
“For Now we are just enjoying our football and taking the season game by game basis. We are looking at our next match and not beyond that at least for now. For instance we are currently planning for only Eleven Wonders after which we will think of our next opponent.
“If we find ourselves in a position where the league becomes a possibility or a reality then we can look at that. For now we are just looking at how to play our next match as we still have over 60 points to play for. We are taking our season one step at a time”, Shafiq Muntari told 442gh.com.
Ashgold SC last won the domestic championship in 2014/15 but are currently atop of the Ghana premier league after 10 rounds of league matches.
