Midfielder Gladson Awako has finally apologised to Hearts of Oak for his conduct following his controversial transfer from Great Olympics at the end of last season.
The 30-year old midfielder is yet to join the Phobians despite signing a contract with them in August this year.
Report emerged on Monday a private Hearts of Oak Supporter has resolved the impase between Great Olympics and the Ghana Premier League defending champions, clearing the way for Awako to return to training with his new employers.
And speaking in an interview after the resolution, the former TP Mazembe star pleaded for patience and forgiveness from Hearts of Oak fans as he readies to return to the club.
“Now everything is sorted now. I’m ready to return to the club so I’m pleading with the fans to forgive me for whatever that happened,” he said in audio played on Asempa FM’s SportsNite show.
Awako was registered by Hearts of Oak for their CAF interclub competition assignment but due to his outstanding issues, the Phobians did not include in their squad for the Ghana Premier League.
