15 year old Striker John Batigi who excelled at the 2019 Baby Jet U16 championship in Accra has been included in the Preliminary squad of the National U17 football team currently camping in Prampram.
Batigi, who scores for fun was the toast of fans when he scored 5 goals in 7 matches at the competition organized by black Stars Striker Asamoah Gyan.
The Real Lions attacker is known for his ability to peel of defenders and running into space through the blind side of opposition players.
His stamina, confidence, and attacking skill combined with positive Football philosophy has seen him produce match winners in several matches.
His inclusuon in the Black Starlets squad offers Coach Ben Fokuo’s side enough attacking options as Ghana look to qualify for its first world cup after the 2017 tournament in India.
The Black Starlets are currently camping in Prampram for the WAFU zone B qualifiers in October.
