Newly appointed Legon Cities FC head coach, Bashir Hayford says he is confident the team will improve and do well in the Ghana Premier League with hard work and determination.
Before his appointment, the club had registered just a point in the recently started 2020/2021 Ghanaian top-flight league.
Bashir Hayford’s words may have been inspired by the potentially destabilizing events of the past week, they may have not been. Either way, they ring true in what we’ve observed on and off the pitch.
Sitting 12th on the league table, Coach Bashir Hayford has been brought in to help the team rock shoulders with the top teams.
Speaking to the media at his official unveiling today, the experienced tactician says the team will be able to succeed if players and technical team work together and show determination.
“If you want to win something during the season it is important to create a unity in the team. To create this unity between the players, the staff, the club, you have to have a good spirit. I think we showing this is one will lead us to the top of the table.”
“In every team I managed, I always tried to build the right spirit because it is of fundamental importance if you want to have a good season. It is not easy to create and before you arrive at creating a good spirit, you have to pass different steps, but I am pleased to see this unity in my team.”
“No task is easy but it can be through hard work and determination. Together, we can do it. I believe in the team a lot,” coach Bashir Hayford noted.
He continued, “I have been with the team for some few days now and I have been able to analyze their strength and weakness, we will work on them together and hopefully improve going forward.”
