Benjamin Afutu Agrees Three Years Contract Extension With Hearts Of Oak

Box to Box Midfielder, Benjamin Afutu Kotey has reached an agreement to extend his stay at Hearts of Oak for three years.

The midfielder was linked to a couple of Premier League clubs including Karela United FC due to a slow negotiation regarding his contract extension.

According to a close source, Afutu has agreed to continue at Hearts with the negotiations reaching the tail-end.

Initially, the player rejected the club’s Gh¢4,000 a month salary in a three-year deal in demand of Gh¢6,000 month salary in a year’s deal.

After a series of back and forth, Hearts of Oak seems to managed to agree with the player on the number of year’s but left with the salary.

Afutu following the agreement on the number of years is now demanding Gh¢5,000 as a month which the club is likely to meet the demand.

Moreover, the Phobians are ready to spread the signing on fee included in the deal on the salary for the player.

The 24-year-old has featured in five league games in the current campaign scoring 2 goals.
