Berekum arsenals becomes the latest football club to threaten the GFA Normalization committee of pulling out of the competition should the NC insist on playing the Quarter finals game in Kumasi.
This comes at the back of a threat to pull out by Asante Kotoko if their tier one semi final clash is not played at a neutral venue.
Speaking on Kumasi based Fox FM, the president of Berekum arsenals Alhaji Yakubu Moro said “Berekum Arsenal shall not honour our match against Asante Kotoko in Kumasi, why should it be only the division one clubs to travel”?
Alhaji Yakubu Moro continued that “if Kotoko has been asked to go to Accra and play against Hearts of Oak but they say they won’t travel, why should we do”?
“The Normalization Committee should come and explain to us why it should be so else we will pull out”- He continued
Reacting on the difficulties club face financing their trips, Alhaji Yakubu Moro said “Even as at now I don’t have any money to travel to Kumasi to play Kotoko, the NC has still not given us any money since we entered the knock outs so it’s either we host Kotoko or we pull out”.
Berekum arsenals becomes the third club to threaten to pull out of the competition should the NC fail to address issues relating to home venues, and financial disbursements.
