The government of Ghana is set to pay all premier league clubs a sum of GHC50,000 by Friday, December 4, according to reports from Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM.
The 2020/2021 season so far has been played without supporters as a directive from the government due to a recent rise in COVID-19 cases in the country.
Therefore, the Ministry of Youth and Sports in a meeting with the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) last month agreed to pay GHC100,000 to the clubs.
Reports from Oyerepa Fm specify that half of the promised support package will be paid tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the GPL enters match week four with some exciting fixtures lined up on the schedule this weekend.
