Black Stars – Asante Kotoko players dominate Milovan Rajevac squad to face Zimbabwe and Zimbabwe

Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko alongside side English championship club Reading have the highest number of players in a new look Black Stars to face Zimbabwe in the double header World cup clash in October.
The 24 time Ghana champions will have deputy Captain Abdul Ismail Ganiu come to the team to cement his place in the squad after making his debut under former coach Charles Akonnor in the AFCON qualifiers.
Coach Milovan Rajevac’s 32 man Squad also includes Africa U20 best goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim also from the Porcupine warriors.
The Fabulous club, Championship side Reading will be parading full backs Andy Boakye Yiadom, and Baba Rahman for the clash that Ghana needs to win both clash to push any attempt of making the World cup in Qatar.
The squad also has 5 locally based players from the two top tiers of Ghana Football with Dreams FC’s Philemon Baffour, Hearts of Oak’s Richard Attah and Division one side Steadfast’s Abdul Fatawu Issahaku making coach Milovan’s first call up since his return to Ghana for a second stint with the National team.
England has the number of players coming from one country to the Black Stars for the qualifier with 7 players, followed by players in the Ghanaian domestic leagues providing 5 players, with the French two top leagues having 4 players.
