Black Stars Skipper Asamoah Gyan Intensifies Personal Training Ahead of 2019 AFCON, Sets Minimum Goal Tally In Egypt

Black Stars skipper Asamoah has intensified his personal training ahead a potential final major tournament with the national team in Egypt.

Asamoah Gyan has been tipped to pick one of the slots for the striking department in Kwesi Appiah’s AFCON squad despite his absence from the team and has now intensified his physical training less than 2 months to the tourney.

The Turkey based attacker has featured for the Black Stars since 2003 and has developed into the nation’s all time top scorer including some memorable goals for the senior national team.

The experienced attacker has played for the Black Stars at 7 AFCON championships, 3 FIFA World cup in his over 100 caps with the senior national team.

Manager for the Black Stars attacker, Sammy Anim Addo, speaking to, confirmed that, the veteran attacker is fine tuning his preparations for the Egypt showdown.

“Gyan has increased on his personal training just to make him ready and sharp for the AFCON. Because he knows what will give him the quality and advantage over the defense. So every day when you speak to him, he always says, he is focused and thinks about how he can score his minimum of 4 goals.

He always say, it is an honor to win the, AFCON for Ghana. Because we won it for a long time”, Sammy Annim Addo told exclusively.
