BOMBSHELL: ‘Unhappy’ AshantiGold Coach Romain Folz Spotted Leaving Ghana After One Month Of Appointment

AshantiGold SC Head Coach Romain Folz and goalkeeping coach Manu Rodriguez have left the shores of Ghana to their respective countries, according to Ghanasportspage.com.

The Frenchman mysteriously became invisible in the Obuasi community on Monday and all efforts by the officials of the club to reach him proved futile.

The 30-year-old’s decision to leave the club came from the Frenchman himself, citing unhappiness at his job with the Miners.

It could be recalled that, Romain Folz penned a two-year deal with the Miners in March 2021 and played four games, picking two wins, a draw and a defeat. However, it is reported that he is not returning to the club again which comes as a shock to the Ashgold fans as the team was getting good results since his appointment.

Ghansportspage.com further reveal that there have been few misunderstandings in the club since the coach arrived especially as he rather listens to the Sporting Director Nana Kwasi Darlington whom he worked with at Bechem United instead of the Club President and his son who is the CEO.

In his absence, assistant coach Thomas Duah will act as a head coach until a new gaffer is appointed in the coming days.

Meanwhile, the club’s goalkeepers trainer, Manu Rodriguez was also seen together with his head coach Romain Folz leaving the country to Europe.
