442gh. com confirm that 60 Ghana FA members have signed a petition in opposition to the proposed Video Conferencing congress by the Ghana Football Association.
The Members comprosing Premier League, Division one League, Women elite league clubs, and Regional Football Associations believe the quantum of amendment proposals brought to the Ghana FA requires a physical Congress devoid of network challenges.
The clubs say, the experience with thw recently developed video Conferencing technology will not be prudent to allow for a smooth Congress that includes voting, and counter proposals.
‘It’s a collective decision to write to the FA, we have discussed among ourselves but yet to put on paper” A club official told Oyerepa FM on condition of anonymity.
The petition which os srill being signed by more members is expected to reach the Ghana FA secretariat by Monday August 3.
The Ghana FA announced a video Conferencing Congress to thw members insisting the Registrar of Companies has issued a directive in that regard “Kindly be informed that pursuant to Bulletin No 1 of 2020 of the Registrar general’s Department, the congress shall be held through video conferencing as directed by the Registrar of companies [under section 378 of the companies Act 2019 [Act 992] due to the ban on Public gathering [current limit is 100 persons whiles congress membership alone is 122, executive Council is 12, staff and media, the FA statement to the members read” an FA statement read.
