CAF President Ahmad Ahmad has been banned from all football related activities for the next five years after breaching a number of ethics of the game.
The Malagasy has been accused of offering and accepting gifts, abuse of position, misappropriation of finds and other related breaches by FIFA.
A committee constituted by FIFA investigated Ahmad Ahmad and slapped the five year ban on the African capo.
He joins other global figures on the wrong end of FIFA’s recent house cleansing exercise.
The ban thus prevented Ahmad Ahmad from contesting for the upcoming CAF election slated for the first quarter of 2021.
