BREAKING NEWS: Kwasi Appiah drops captain Asamoah Gyan in Ghana line up against Ethiopia

Ghana coach Kwasi Appiah has dropped skipper Asamoah Gyan as he lines up a strong side for the clash against Ethiopia this afternoon.

Deputy skipper Andre Ayew will lead the side against the Walia Antelopes as Ghana look to secure the maximum three points in the game.

John Boye will partner Hoffenheim defender Kassim Nuhu at the center back position for the first time in a Black Stars game as Harrison Afful and Lumor Agbeyenu man the right and left back positions respectively.

The midfield will be handled by the quartet of Mubarak Wakaso, Andre Ayew, Christian Atsu and Thomas Partey while Jordan Ayew and Emmanuel Boateng lead the Ghana attack.

The Black Stars are seeking to record a handsome win in the game to enhance their chances of grabbing a ticket to the 2019 AFCON to be staged in Cameroon.
