Congolese defender Raddy Ovouka will miss Accra Hearts of Oak’s opening Ghana Premier league fixture against Aduana stars on November 15 after he received a call up to join the Red Devils in the AFCON 2022 qualifier against Eswati.
Ovouka will form part of the Red Devils squad that engage the ‘Sihlangu Semnikati’ in a double header on November 12 and 16.
Reports in the Congolese media indicates Coach Valdo Finho believes in the capabilities of the left back, and ready to make him a regular feature in the National team.
The Left back has been one of Hearts of Oak’s best performers this season in the Ghana Premier League.
He was a regular under Coach Edward Odoom who preferred him to William Dankyi in the Canceled Ghana Premier league.
In his absence, Former Liberty Professionals left Back William Dankyi is expected to play in the first 2 opening games of the season.
Raddy Ovouka got his first National team invite in March for the same games, but had to wait for 8 months to make his first appearance after the COVID-19 outbreak.
