Kotoko and Al Hilal second leg tie was called off have following late positive cases recorded among the former’s players. 7 players and 4 staff members tested positive with Kotoko claiming to know the status of said individuals on their way to the match venue.
Considering the number of cases among the players, the Ghanaian giants were left with 14 players, which is below the required number, 15, need by Covid-19 affected team for a CAF competition. Therefore, the Confederation declared Al Hilal winners, 3-0 on aggregate.
Kotoko on Friday will know their opponent for the last round in the Confederations Cup after been declared losers against Al Hilal in the champions league.
