CAF CL: Former defender Acquah Harrison cautions Hearts of Oak about “diabolic” WAC strategy

Former Ghanaian defender Acquah Harrison has called on Hearts of Oak to be wary of the diabolic strategies Moroccan giants Wydad Athletic Club ahead of their CAF Champions League preliminary second leg tie.

A late first half strike from striker Isaac Mensah ensured that the Phobians secured a 1-0 win over the Casablanca based club at the Accra Sports Stadium last Sunday.

The Ghanaian champions will return for the second leg on October 24 at the Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca with the slender advantage and former defender Acquah has urged them to be cautious ahead of the second tie.

“I watched the game and I can say since 2003/2004 this is one of the good Hearts Of Oak games I have watched.

“The Moroccans are diabolic and they have their strategy when approaching games”, Harrison said in an interview with Service Radio.

“I will say the one goal Hearts Of Oak scored isn’t enough but in football everything can happen.

“Hearts Of Oak defensive setup have to be sharp in the return encounter in Morocco.

“Wydad were well prepared with a strategy, because their league is ongoing and it has giving them match fitness.

“Hearts Of Oak need to prepare well for the return encounter even if they exit the competition, they have good team to compete in the Confederation Cup.” He added.

Hearts of Oak got to this stage of the competition after eliminating Guinean side, Club Industriel de Kamsar 2-0 in a one off game at the Accra Sports Stadium last month.
