Acting Communications Manager for Asante Kotoko, David Obeng Nyarko has pleaded with the supporters to retain their sang-froid after 0-1 defeat to Al-Hilal in the Caf Champions League.
Kotoko were stunned at home by Hilal in the first leg tie of the second preliminary round at Accra Sports Stadium yesterday.
The Porcupines suffered their first home defeat in the competition after going nine games unbeaten which they won eight.
The defeat left Kotoko fans in dismay and some furious about the players’ performance while others question player recruitment at the club.
Reacting to the anger and concerns of the supporters, Obeng who assumed the position following the resignation of Moses Antwi Benfo, promised the fans that the management will find solutions to the club’s recent problems.
“At the moment everybody is saddened. I will plead with everybody to calm down. What I can assure is that we will address the wrongs. So all is not lost yet.” he said after the game
