Ahead of the commencement of 2020/2021 Regional Leagues, Central Region Football Association has organized fitness test and refresher course for Referee in the region to acertain their readiness for the season.
Over hundred Referees and assistants took part in the exercise held at Cape Coast Stadium.
Referees Manager at the GFA Alex Kotey took them through Amendments to the laws and the laws of the game with much emphasis on offside rules
Mr Kotey reiterated his call for Referees to regularly read the laws to familiarize themselves with the amendments and it’s interpretations and implementations.
Mr Robert Otieku Duncan, Central Region FA Chairman expressed his appreciation to the Referees for prompt response to the exercise and also impressed with the turn out and performances put up by all.
He assured the Referees of maximum security in the league and also appealed to them to help organize a successful league.
The Central Region Second Division league is billed to commence on 19th June but that Will be preceded by the third and Women’s Division One Leagues which kicks starts on the Weekend of 12th and 13th of this Month.
