Chelsea fans deserve trophies – Frank Lampard

 

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard insists he wants to bring success to the Stamford Bridge as he insists the fans deserve trophies.

Lampard was appointed as Chelsea head coach last season and helped led the club to finish fourth on the log last season. The Blues legend says he will never forget the reception club’s supporters gave him on his return.

“I will always remember the reception of the fans when I walked out at Stamford Bridge for the first time as Chelsea manager,” he said.

 

“It was really humbling for me, having been away and then coming back in a different capacity,” he added.

“It was an amazing feeling and I loved it. This is my club and there are not many people that are fortunate enough to have the journey that I’ve had. I’ve completely engulfed myself in this job and I want to bring success to this club.”

“Coming back to Chelsea and receiving that reception that I did from the fans, you want to bring the supporters that success because they deserve it.”

The West London side is already out of the EFL Cup competition after losing to rivals Tottenham on penalties.
