Ghana Premier League(GPL) side Elmina Sharks have denied the exit of their manager Nii Odartey Lamptey.
Initial reports claimed that the stopgap gaffer has resigned from his duty as the head coach of the Cape Coast-based side.
The Club in a statement released on Wednesday, April 21 cited that ‘Nii Odartey Lamptey is still at post as head coach of the Fearsome Elmina Sharks.’
Lamptey was appointed last month as an interim trainer to replace Yaw Acheampong who turned in his resignation after a poor run of form in the first round of the current GPL campaign.
The Glow Lamp Academy owner has since steered Sharks to 11th on 26 points, winning three out of four games he has managed.
