Former Accra Hearts Of Oak trainer Kim Grant has vehemently spoken against calls from a section of the Ghanaian football to abrogate the 2020 Ghana Premier League season due to the dreaded COVID 19.
The experienced gaffer believes such calls are Knee jerk approach and premature despite the viral nature of the virus.
Major leagues across the world have been suspended with serious consideration been given to nullifying the current season for a fresh start when situations improve.
The Ghana Football Association in conjunction with the government suspended all football competitions as the infection rate in Ghana increases.
In an interview with Big FM made his stand known in the midst of the heated debate.
” I don’t think we should terminate the league due to the deadly virus”
” We all hope that we should start in the coming month when the Corona Virus is gone”, Kim Grant told Yes FM.
Hearts of Oak sacked Kim Grant after losing their opening two matches of the new Ghana Premier League season.
