Leicester City and Black Stars centre back Daniel Amartey has undergone a successful surgery on his ankle injury and is expected to be back on the field in 8 weeks time.
The versatile defender landed awkwardly on his ankle whiles playing for Leicester City in the English premier league with many tipping him to be out of action for a foreseeable period in what looked like a broken leg at first sight.
The Ghanaian import is however expected to miss just 2 months of competitive action after a successful operation on the injured foot by a team of medical experts.
Yussif Chibsah, who manages Daniel Amartey, played down the gravity of the injury after the successful surgery whiles confirming an earlier return for the injured defender.
“Daniel Amartey just had a successful surgery is yet to be discharged but it is not as serious as we thought earlier. He will probably be back in 2 months time”, Yussif Chibsah told FOX FM.
The disaster laden game saw Leicester City losing Amartey to injury whiles their club owner perished into flames moments after the game due to fault with his personal aircraft.
