Injured Asante Kotoko SC defender Ismail Abdul Ganiu has celebrated his one year anniversary with the Porcupine Warriors with some memories to match.
The former Wa All Stars FC defensive kingpin switched camps to Asante Kotoko SC exactly one year today and has earmarked some unforgettable moments during his 12 months stay in the club led by the fiercest derby with Accra Hearts of Oak.
A key component of the Karela United side that toyed with the nation’s big wigs, Ganiu joined the Red army on October 2018 and has since gone on to become the most Influential figure at the back for the Porcupine Warriors.
Currently on a potential career threatening injury, Ismail Abdul Ganiu chronicles his most important moments, teammates and sad moments during his one year spell with the club.
“My best moments in the colors of Asante Kotoko SC is the clash with Accra Hearts of Oak SC. It was one of the greatest moments during my time with the club”, Ganiu told 442gh.com.
He added, “My best teammate has been Muntari Tagoe for now and the saddest moments of my time with the club. It is frustrating to see your colleagues playing whiles you stay and watch from the sidelines”.
Management of Asante Kotoko SC has given a timeline on plans geared at returning their defensive asset to the pitch with an impending trip to Germany taking shape.
