Crystal Palace winger Jeffrey Schlupp wants the English Premier League to be completed amid the Coronavirus pandemic which has halted the season.
The English Premier League have been suspended due to COVID-19 which is already taking a toll in England.
All Premier League Clubs have released players to their various homes to observe social distancing and isolation due to the vast spread of the virus.
Despite the challenges at hand, the 25-year-old who recently returned from injury wants the season to be completed.
“I think it’s obviously be started so you’ve got to finish it,” he told Alex Howell on his ‘Staying in With’ Youtube Show.
“I think cancelling the season doesn’t really work with me and it’s too harsh on the league. If you ask every player, everyone wants to play and if there is an opportunity of finishing the league then we will stand by,” he added.
“I mean obviously in the Liverpool situation I fell like is a bit quite harsh, they could have won it without even playing but it’s just that one game away which is obviously frustrating for them I can imagine. But it’s just only fair to finish the season.”
Crystal Palace find themselves out of the drop occupying the 11th spot on the table with nine matches to go.
