English Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion have secured the services of striker Danny Welbeck on a one-year deal.
Confirming the arrival of the Englishman, Brighton said: “Brighton & Hove Albion have completed the signing of striker Danny Welbeck.
“The former Manchester United, Arsenal and Watford forward has agreed on a one-year deal with Albion.”
On his part, Brighton manager Graham Potter added: “We are delighted to have Danny joining us. He will complement our existing striking options.
“He’s got an undoubted pedigree, and he is quick and technically very good. He will add to our attacking threat and we are thrilled to add another player of his experience and quality.”
The 29-year-old whose career has been hampered by injuries played for United before joining Arsenal where he left to join Watford.
Welbeck who has been handed the number 18 jersey has 42 caps for England and has scored 16 times for his country.
