Two relegated Ghana Premier League clubs, Inter Allies and Liberty Professionals faced each other in the opening match the 2021-22 Divison One League at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu on Sunday November 21, 2021.
The two clubs played out an entertaining goalless draw to mark their return to the Ghanaian second tier after years of clashes in Ghana’s elite league.
Allies started then game on a bright note but struggled to create openings in a tight Liberty Profesaionals defence led by youngster Sherif Mohammed and former Inter Allies man Fuseini Mohammed.
While holding on, Liberty, on a number of occasions, created decent chances but failed to take advantage of the highline Allies defence.
The first half ended with nothing separating the two clubs.
Back from recess, the two teams run a number of changes in personell but that didn’t impact too much on the result as the game ended goalless.
