The Ghana Premier League just saw off match day 10 with some match venues still not in the best shape to accommodate the spreading Ghanaian football slogan #bringbackthelove after the inception of the league in December – Cape Coast sports Stadium and the Accra Sports stadiums have come under serious scrutiny for their lack of maintenance.
Soccer loving fans who have paid to watch the beautiful game they love have been greeted with tones of dust, and refuse upon arrival at the stadium, and could only pacify themselves by the use of their handkerchiefs.
This unfortunate situation of dirty seats at the Cape Coast and Accra sports Stadiums where premier league side Ebusua Dwarfs, Hearts of Oak, Great Olympics, Legon Cities, and Inter Allies uses as home grounds leaves both home and visiting fans stranded in the stands despite paying the match day tickets.
The worrying phenomena is that this national stadiums host some of the exciting international tournaments including qualifiers involving various national teams. So should we watch our national stadia breakdown to filfth,?
The big question that needs an answer is who is responsible for cleaning the seats?
