Recap

Inter Allies, introducing 4 new players they signed in the second transfer window looked poised to overcome the previous stage scare in the league with a push for the opener in the first 10 minutes, but were denied by the WAFA SC defence marshalled by Abubakar Ibrahim, Konadu Yiadom, Mohammed Abdul KAdir, and Youssef Atte.

Allies went on to produce some outstanding display of passes in the first 15 minutes of the game with the improved midfielders of Hashmin Musah, Desmond Abuga and Abdul Nassiru Hamza exchanges passe to outwit their opponents, who themselves had Andrews Ntim, Lawrence Agyekum and Godwin Agbevor .

It was however clear that the attacking line of Inter Allies still needed more time be sharp with the final balls.

before the haqlf hour mark, WAFA had taken control of the ball with Godwin Agbevor on the right, and Jalilu Haruna on the left, whiles Augustine Boakye and Nii Gyashie Bortey leading the attack

WAFA SC gave their hosts the scare of their lives when Augustine Boakye’s 36th minute shot was blocked by Goalkeeper Rashid Seidu, the rebound his the woodwork, before another rebound shot went straight on the foot of the goal post, when the entire defence of Allies feeling relieved.

The Allies Attack lifted their game again, but Nafiu Sulemana could not push their guest after dribbling his opponent, but failed to hit the ball at goal.

Looking for his first win of the year, coach Danijel Mujkanovic introduced Paul Abanga into the game just before the start of the second half, and also added Alex Aso to his side in an attempt to push the ball more forward to get the needed goal, Allies pressed on, despite some intermittent attacks from the Academy boys.

With consistent pressure from the Allies boys, and clear instructions from the bench, Nafiu Sulemana put them ahead in the 66th minute after connecting a Nassiru Hamza corner kick into to goal.

Allies could not have the full blessing of their goal as WAFA displayed a great team work to outplay their host with series of balls into their goal area, Goalkeeper Rashid Seidu and a couple of Inter Allies players were left with nothing than to waste time, and to delay to movement of the game.

Perhaps the most unlucky footballer of the day would be Augustine Boakye who came close to scoring on many occasions but were denied by the woodwork, and Rashid Seidu in goal.

Allies fought hard to maintain the lead to collect their first win of the Year 2021
