Evergreen Evans Nana Asare Maintains Fine form As KAA Gent Thrash Cercle Brugge To Keep European Qualification Hopes Alive

Veteran Ghanaian defender Evans Nana Asare rolled back the years to power his Belgian side KAA Gent into a 4-1 thrashing of Cercle Brugge to keep their European qualification hopes alive.

The 32 year old recorded his 486th club appearance at the Ghelamco Arena as Gent closed the gap between themselves and second place Club Brugge to just 4 points.

Goals from Dajagere, Rosted, David and Odjidja –Ofoe gave Gent a 4-0 lead before Serge Gakpe pulled one back for Brugge.

Evans Nana Asare remains one of Ghana’s most consistent defenders in Europe for the past decade with 286 appearances in league matches alone.
