Former Asante Kotoko Head Coach, Isaac ‘Opeele’ Boateng has likened Porcupines striker Osman Ibrahim to Manchester United and England forward Marcus Rashford.
The young striker continued his superb form by netting his first league goal of the season for Kotoko and his second of the season in three starts against Legon Cities last Friday in Accra to ensure the Porcupines record their first win of the season before he was replaced by Evans Adomako due to an injury.
Opeele has gone on to compare the youngster’s impact to that of Marcus Rashford and believes is showing similarities to the United star. The Englishman is one of the best players in the world and being compared to him shows the level Osman Ibrahim is held at.
Osman is enjoying an excellent season under Maxwell Konadu so far and has firmly established himself as one of the key figures in the team.
Having returned from a successful loan spell at King Faisal last season, Osman’s abilities have the rubber seal of approval from Opeele Boateng. The now sports analyst at Accra-based Asempa FM describes the striker as a ‘natural goalscorer.’
“This Asante Kotoko SC player seems to be a natural goalscorer like Marcus Rashford. Wherever he is, the ball will find him in the box,” Opeele tweeted after he had scored his goal against Legon Cities.

Osman joined King Faisal on loan at the beginning of the 2019/20 league season, scoring 10 goals with 3 assists in 15 matches before the season was truncated.
The highly-rated forward joined Asante Kotoko from Division-One side Asokwa Deportivo in May 2018, under the tutelage of coach Paa Kwesi Fabin.
