Exclusive – Anderlecht Star Majeed Ashimeru Returns to Black Stars after 4 years Absence

Black Stars Coach C.K Akonnor has handed call up to RSC Anderlecht midfielder Majeed Ashimeru as part of his squad for the Double header World cup qualifiers against South Africa and ETHIOPIA.

The former WAFA SC offensive midfielder made his maiden Nationsl team appearance in 2017 when Ghana Played Benin in an international friendly.

The 23 year Old player has had stinks with Redbull Salzburg in Austria, St Gallen in Switzerland, and now in Belgium where he plays for Champions Anderlecht.

Majeed Ashimeru is expected to make another appearance in the Black Stars shirts when Ghana walks to the field for the 2022 World cup qualifiers.

With injured Thomas Partey and Kudus Mohammed not making the squad, Ashimeru will fit into the team as replacement for the qualifiers.
