Ghana’s super powers Asante Kotoko SC have identified Accra Great Olympics FC defensive pillar as part of their rebuilding process after missing out on the 2020/21 GHPL trophy.
The Baba Yara based outfit finished the season behind arch rivals, Accra Hearts of Oak SC after losing that decisive match in Accra to the Phobians.
Management of the Porcupine family however moved quickly to fill the voids in the team led by young prospect in Accra Great Olympics FC, Haruna Jamaldeen.
The lanky and ball playing center back showed his worth on the local scene before picking up an injury into the home stretch end of the campaign.
His abilities to play as a central defender or defensive midfielder saw him earning a black Stars call up to cap an explosive season.
The former Wa All Stars youngster is currently on loan from Tudu based Mighty Jets and is expected to cost the Porcupine Eateries some fortunes as negotiation take center stage.
Fans of Asante Kotoko SC cannot wait to see the partnership of Ismail Abdul Ganiu and Jamaldeen Haruna for the upcoming 2021/22 domestic season.
