Ghanaian striker Emmanuel Clottey has finally paid a $1000 fine to FIFA.
Clottey was slapped with the fine after breaching his contract with former Club Esperance.
Esperance had reported Kotoko to FIFA for refusing to pay the player’s transfer fee from the Club.
FIFA on the other hand ordered the Ghanaian Club to settle the amount and further imposed a fine on the player for going contrary to his contract with the North African side.
The 32-year-old has paid the money to his former Club in order to escape FIFA’s wrath.
Meanwhile an Accra High Court on Wednesday fined the former CAF Champions League top scorer an amount of GHC5000 after a case with Kotoko was ruled against him, an amount expected to be settled within an ultimatum period.
The Ghana International rejoined Great Olympics before the start of the season after months without a Club.
